Between shooting my cousin’s wedding and my friend getting engaged in the same day, I’ve been a touch weepy sentimental these days. Mary is literally the first person I met at USC, we were seated at the same table during orientation. We didn’t actually remember that we had met before, until after we had already become friends. Tis fate, because I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have someone to call me and ask things like: “You ever have sketchy elevator day at work?”
For reals Mary, you are a crucial part of my life and I am so happy you found someone who loves you as much, if not more, than I do.
Nothing could have prepared me for this picture. “Hey Lala, wanna see what we gonna do at the reception?” Commence shimmying.
We thought going back to the park where Tom had proposed would be a good location. I didn’t realize I was setting myself up for an emotional attack as I watched Tom get down on one knee in the exact same spot. It had only been a week since he proposed. I think all of the emotions were still so fresh it made us all brush away a tear or two. It does my heart good to see my friend love and be loved.
Tom said all the nice things again, here’s Mary gettin’ misty eyed.
I love featuring a couple’s personality and the special nuances of their relationship. As long as we are re-enacting how they got engaged, we thought why not go ahead and re-enact how they met? Here’s to love and romance in a new millennium!I love the part where they ditch the computers!
Not staged, well at least not by me, this is what I found on Mary’s computer at the end of our shoot.
And of course I am always happy to be there and take pictures when a family adds a new and precious member to their family.
Meet the future Harris Family’s newest addition: Blingy
