We have all been waiting for this day!
Daniel is officially a McConnell!
Today's blog is really a continuation of this blog, the story of how I met Emily, Dustin, and Margaret. And when their family started. Margaret is represented by a sweet teddy bear that weighs the exact amount of Margaret at birth.
They have grown from a family of 3 to a family of 6 since I first met them in 2019. In 2020 we became surprise neighbors. She said, "I think I can see the house you are buying from my backyard." Sure enough she was right. We had fun during the all too short time we were neighbors, but Michigan called them back home.
I was hoping our girls would grow up besties. Maybe they can still be FaceTime besties. (I surprised Emily with the picture on the right of the girls while I was babysitting the "non-packer" while they were getting the house ready to move awaaaayyyyyy.)
They were born almost exactly a year apart.
Outfit planning for this family was easy since they had just done newborn pictures with baby Wally! Two new McConnells this year, although Daniel has been a member of the family for a long time.
We just swapped around a few colors to get a new look for their adoption day photos!
I want things to be as easy as possible. Once we've chatted on the phone and I know your "vibe" I pull together outfits that will work well for your family. Getting the family together for pictures is already hard enough!
I pin all the outfits to a pinterest board so that you can order the pieces directly or pull from your own closet.
After a few bumps, hiccups, and surprises the McConnells made it to adoption day! The air was electric with nerves and excitement. Dustin and Emily went though all the official business (while the rest of us waited in the lobby outside).
I had the privilege of sitting with Elyse while she got to watch Daniel officially become her big brother! (She also decided to hide under the table for our group picture. I love it, shows exactly what it's like to be a 3 year old at a big important event.)
The next day we managed to squeeze in some family pictures after a good night's sleep.
