Have you ever had a Sarah in your life? I hope you have. I think everyone should, you are lucky if you do. A friend that listens when you talk, remembers tiny details that make you feel special, and the grace to overlook your sarcastic jokes when they come out mean instead of funny. When you are loved by Sarah, she loves you with her whole heart, and makes you chocolate chip banana bread. If you've had her banana bread, you are loved.
Sarah and I lived together during most of our dating years. There has been love and muck for both of us. I love that Sarah let's me be mean to her out of love. I remember angrily telling Sarah, "Don't think for one second that you don't deserve the best." Sarah understands my angry tone of voice can actually be saying nice things. It's my way of showing love without being too mushy.
Garrett is the same way. I never said a word or even noticed, but one day I heard him say my car's headlights needed cleaning. I said, "What? That's a thing?" Next thing I know he's taping off Sydney the Civic's headlights and buffing them to a street legal shine.
I'm excited to watch both of them pour that kind of love and attention to detail into their marriage. And I'm more than excited for their wedding!
One of my first memories of Sarah and Garrett becoming a couple was watching them dance. Their chemistry is electric. Every single one of our friends was asking Garrett when he was going to ask Sarah out after watching them dance. Garrett's eyes were just lit up thinking about it.
Gah! Trying to pick a favorite picture of Sarah and Garrett is like trying to pick my favorite ice cream. It's too hard, but maybe maybe the one on the left. It reminds me of the moment alone after a couple gets married, when you are hidden away from everyone else and you can finally say you are truly married. Sarah says the one on the right is the most accurate representation of their relationship. I know it's true.
Rest up you two! It's gonna be an amazing wedding!
